introduction à la prière des heures You can find on the website “To pray with the church”: www.prieravecleglise.fr/
the complete daily offices of the breviary (laudes, midday prayer, vespers, compline) which we sing here in Malestroit.
This website proposes to the Net-surfer, for each day of the year, the celebration of the Divine Offices – in their complete or simplified versions - following the liturgical rules according to “Prayer of the present time”. Thus is solved the delicate exercise, for those not familiar with the work, of finding in Prayer of the present time: anthems, psalms, other texts and prayers, according to the day of the year (liturgical year or sanctoral).

IMPORTANCE OF THE LITURGY OF THE HOURS FOR THE CHURCH.

This website is also an occasion for pointing out the importance of the Liturgy of the Hours, not only for priests, deacons, monks or nuns, but also for all the faithful laity. The home page of the website recalls what the general Presentation of the Liturgy of the Hours says: “The liturgy of the Hours participates in the piety of the Only Son toward the Father and in the prayer which, during His life on earth, He expressed in words and which, now, are perpetuated without interruption throughout the entire Church and all its members, for the salvation of all mankind.
